Ear in The Water or Sound Activities on Sobieszewo Island was a multidisciplinary project which explores the audio sphere of Sobieszewo Island in Gdańsk. It consisted of a series of workshop sound walks, kinetic sculptures, audio exhibitions and site-specific audio installations. Experts and artists from all Poland were invited to carry out the events. Project's aim was to familiarise the paticipants with the sound art, field recording and acoustic ecology. Workshop were intended for inhabitants of Sobieszewo Island, regardless of the age range. A sequence of special workshops for disable people came to fruition as well. Part of the project consisted of creating a sonic map of Island.
